It's not a corset per se, but it is based on that.

And it was made for someone smaller than myself.

Preferably someone who doesn't have ribs, they get in the way.

The smaller size was on purpose.

The ribs issue not so much.

But I'm confident Tami, Brooke, or some other skinny person can pull it off!

Let me know which one you like better. The difference is the top & bottom ties. Please no other suggestions or silly questions about what it is or anything like that. It is art in progress & if I can't decide on which ties for top & bottom it isn't ever going to be anything. And if you don't like either, that is fine too. So either say the plain ones, print ones, or neither. Thanks!

I made a skirt! No pattern. Just has a draw string waist. Not perfect, but I like it ok....

Back of the skirt - it has a slit. Fancy.

I am wearing a lightweight skirt/slip under it as it is a knit fabric with holes in it. Intentional decorative holes, but holes none the less... And no the back seam it not completely straight. Fabric moves, it's quite annoying.

Changing it up a bit.

This is now going to be primarily a photo blog. I have figured out how to transfer pics easily from my camera to my computer and most of what I do is hard to explain anyway. Besides a picture is worth a 1000 words.

Angry birds!

I am going to crochet a set of angry birds complete with pigs. I think I am going to make 3 or 4 pigs since there are little ones, ones with hats and the king one.

Flowers for Cora

I drew a picture of flowers for Cora on my plane ride home on March 26th. Haven't done anything else that is really "art" other than that. I went on vacation, I had fun everyday while I was gone...

I am done now. Well with the formal assignment.

While no date range was listed/required I am done now. I completed 50 days, the assignment is due in a week and I will be at school or travelling all but 2 days until it is due. I am still going to try to work on this BUT it won't be a priority and I am thinking about changing the format and requirements. I will post the new rules once I figure them out.

Woke up, went to school and from there immediately left for home. Talking to Lisa on the way home about non-school related things was fun.

Was at school from 9am to 8:30pm. I got done early in clinical skills and spent about 10-15 minutes relaxng in a corner destressing after a morning of trying to draw blood.

Went to a potluck with people from school for dinner. Also went to super supplements and found two new supplements I want to try that might help with my energy and stress levels.

Blah! I had school today got up early & went to school. At school I ate lunch with people instead of by myself. That was fun. Watched a movie.

Had a peer review in the am then an 8hr drive for most of the rest of the day. I did have a few minutes to play with my nephew once I got to my sister's house.

Day 17 Wednesday Feb 2nd

Settled on colors for baby. Red placenta & blue for cord. Baby is going to be mirror and sac is going to be the milky white. I know I already said this but I always come back later and move things around and have to decide if it's what I really want or not.

Day 16 Feb 1st

Printed out pattern for stained glass project. It is a baby in-utero. Also decided on colors. Bright red for placenta, cool swirly/stripey blue with purple-ish for cord, milky white for bag and the baby is going to be mirror. This one is going to be a prototype, we will see how I like it, maybe change things and then spend money on glass that is really good colors and textures for this project.

Day 15 Monday Jan 31st

Went to a birth at 3pm, didn't get home til 1am. The birth was fun and left no time for anything else.

I sorted through my glass to pick out colors for a project I am working on. It's for stained glass so it is even an art project.

While sorting some boxes in my room I came across some nail polish and some photos I haven't seen in a while. I took a break and looked through the photos and painted my nails.

For fun today I helped can steelhead. Sounds like work but I haven't ever done it before and it was fun.

I had fun making up word associations while studying for my G&E test. And while this may not be totally following the directions and I was thinking about the stupid positivity article and it said part of it is being able to notice positive things. So I decided trying to figure out what I did that was fun is along those lines.

Day 10 Wed Jan 26th

I went on a walk today for like 30 min. It was for fun so I vote it counts as playing. But I really am going to try to set aside time and really do the 15 minutes of art or playing thing and not just being like sure this counts.

I went into town and hung out with people for about an hour at night. I vote chatting with people I don't see often counts as playing.

Went to a birthday party and I went into town and went out for lunch. I vote those count as playing.

Umm don't think I did anything. Went to not a birth got home slept for a few minutes, went to church, slept some more, ate dinner, and then went to bed early.

I played puzzle and crochet for a while.

Played puzzle and talked to my sister on the phone for a bit. Then at night had people over and we played cards for like an hour.

Once again made a plan to do something then it didn't happen. I did "play" watch a movie though...

Day 3 - Wed Jan 19th

Played puzzle for 15 min. I also set up a table in the non-bedroom half of my room so I will have somewhere to do stuff.

Day 2 - Tuesday Jan 18th

Once my temp got back down to normal and I finished my homework I though about playing. I even had a plan about what I was going to do but then I went to my room to get a puzzle, I got distracted and totally forgot about til I was in bed for the night.

Day 1 - Monday Jan 17th

Was sick and running a fever most of the day and didn't really feel like playing. Closest I got was when I gave up on trying to do homework and just watched tv for like 30 minutes.

Intro

For counseling for the childbearing year 1 we have a positivity assignment. It is to "Select one of the proffered positivity “strategies” and keep a daily journal or checklist. Complete the assignment by completing a one to two page essay regarding your thoughts about the strategy you chose and the impact it has had upon you."

Not a fan of positivity but we'll see how this goes. None of the suggestions actually sounded very fun and I found it kind of annoying that some were only 3-5 minutes and others were 30 (which doesn't make sense to me) but another student mentioned art for the 15 min of playtime a day one so I figured yeah sure I can do art or play, whatever.
