Ok it's done now! Yeah!
Going to bed a tiny bit late, but I really wanted to get it done!
In progress, some of them have been sewn on.
All done! Look I added the grommet things, much easier than
I had feared, but not as easy as I had hoped.
Now, if you are my mom.
You are probably thinking

Here is a pic to help you out.
It's not a corset per se, but it is based on that.
And it was made for someone smaller than myself.
Preferably someone who doesn't have ribs, they get in the way.
The smaller size was on purpose.
The ribs issue not so much.
But I'm confident Tami, Brooke, or some other skinny person can pull it off!
LOL I was thinking for a corset she needs more grommets, but that was before the big reveal so I wasn't sure if that was what it is. Now that I know for sure, in my professional opinion you need more grommets. I love the look though it's super cute.
ReplyDeleteI thought about putting on more grommets but, A - they cost money and I don't have any more and B - the ties aren't sturdy enough to handle it actually being cinched down tight and I am not sure if more grommets would help that or if it would hurt it because then someone would try to make it tighter....
ReplyDeleteI was worried that the leather was part of the project - but then I enlarged the picture and was able to see it was just laying on leather furniture! I like it on you and unfortunately Tiney Has ribs, thanks to your maternal grandmother, but maybe Brooke escaped the curse. Very nice, Nan, I mean very interesting - stinker!
